What do you ship?
We ship barrels, moving boxes, plastic totes, furniture, appliances, televisions, vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs), and general household goods from New York to Ghana, Togo, and Ivory Coast. We do not ship prohibited items — see our prohibited items page for the full list.
Where do you pick up from?
We offer free doorstep pickup anywhere in New York City (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island), New Jersey, and Philadelphia. We come to your apartment, storage unit, or business — you don't need to drop off anywhere.
What countries do you ship to?
Ghana (Port of Tema), Togo (Port of Lomé), and Ivory Coast / Abidjan (Port Autonome d'Abidjan). We cover all three countries — most competitors only ship to Ghana.
How long does shipping take?
Ocean freight to Ghana takes approximately 28–35 days from pickup to your recipient's door. Togo and Ivory Coast run 30–40 days. Vehicles (Ro/Ro) take 14–21 days to Tema Port. Transit times are estimates and depend on customs processing at the destination port.
Pricing & Payment
How much does it cost to ship a barrel?
A standard 55-gallon barrel ships from $190 to Ghana. A 65-gallon long barrel starts at $240. See our full shipping rates page for a complete price list including furniture, appliances, and vehicles.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. The price you're quoted is the price you pay. Our rates include pickup, ocean freight, export clearance, destination customs clearance, and standard delivery to your recipient's door in Ghana. Ghana Customs duties are separate — these are set by the Ghana Customs Authority and vary by item. We provide an estimate upfront.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Zelle (fastest, no fees), Cash App ($guldstreet), PayPal, and all major credit/debit cards. A 30% non-refundable booking deposit is due at confirmation. The remaining balance is due within 3 business days of invoice date.
Do I pay the full amount upfront?
No. We take a 30% deposit to confirm your booking and reserve your pickup slot. The balance is due before your cargo departs our warehouse. You'll receive an invoice with exact amounts and due dates.
Pickup & Packing
Do you provide barrels?
Yes. We can supply 55-gallon and 65-gallon plastic shipping barrels — contact us when you book. You can also supply your own barrel; just make sure it seals tightly and is rated for shipping.
What can I put in a barrel?
You can pack clothing, shoes, fabrics, dry food (rice, palm oil, canned goods), household goods, small appliances, gifts, and personal effects. Do not pack prohibited items such as firearms, drugs, flammable liquids, or cash. See our prohibited items page for the full list.
How heavy can my barrel be?
Maximum weight is 300 lbs (136 kg) per barrel. Most standard barrels ship at 80–200 lbs depending on contents. We weigh your barrel at pickup — overpacked barrels may need to be redistributed.
Customs & Delivery
Do you handle customs clearance?
Yes. Customs clearance is fully managed by Guldstreet at Tema Port (Ghana), Port of Lomé (Togo), or Port of Abidjan (Ivory Coast). You do not need to hire a separate clearing agent. Our on-the-ground teams handle all documentation and port interactions.
Will my recipient pay duties at the port?
Possibly. Ghana, Togo, and Ivory Coast all charge import duties on certain goods. Used personal effects and clothing typically attract low or zero duties. Electronics, appliances, and vehicles are subject to higher rates. We provide a customs estimate when you book so there are no surprises.
How do I track my shipment?
After your cargo departs, we send you WhatsApp updates at each milestone — pickup confirmed, cargo in transit, arrival at port, customs clearance, and final delivery. You can also contact us at any time on WhatsApp at +1 (551) 800-2125 for a status update.
Does my recipient need to be there for delivery?
Yes — someone needs to be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the cargo. We contact your recipient by phone before we arrive to coordinate the delivery time.
Vehicle Shipping
Can you ship a car from an auction?
Yes. We work with customers who buy cars at US auto auctions (Copart, IAAI, Manheim) and need to ship them to Ghana. We can coordinate pickup directly from the auction lot and handle all export paperwork including the title, bill of sale, and export declaration.
Does the car need to run to be shipped?
No. We ship non-running, salvage, and project vehicles. Ro/Ro (roll-on/roll-off) vessels require the car to be drivable onto the ship; vehicles that cannot move under their own power are shipped in a container instead.
Can I put personal items inside the car?
Yes, up to a reasonable amount. Most ports allow personal effects inside vehicles as long as they are declared. Ghana Customs rules apply — do not pack prohibited items. Contact us and we'll advise based on your specific vehicle and contents.
