Pickup Saturdays in Maryland
Maryland pickups run on our Maryland, DC, Virginia and Delaware route. The scheduled Saturday dates are Saturday October 24, Saturday November 7 and Saturday November 21, 2026. We call these Pickup Saturdays, and they are the dates to plan around. There is a minimum of 2 barrels or boxes per pickup on this route. The same prices apply as our weekday routes.
You do not have to fill a truck by yourself. Neighbors, family members, churches and community associations can combine shipments at one address for a group pickup. One person can book, and everyone can drop their items at that address before the truck arrives. If you are organizing for a group, message us early so we can plan the stop.
For Christmas 2026, book and pay the 30 percent deposit by Saturday, November 21, 2026. The estimated arrival in Ghana is December 20 to 24. If you are shipping from Maryland, November 21 is your cutoff for the Christmas schedule.

Barrels, Boxes, Totes, Suitcases and Rice
This is the service most Maryland families start with. We pick up 55 gallon barrels, 65 gallon barrels, 75 to 77 gallon jumbo barrels, large and medium boxes, tote bags, tote boxes, suitcases and bags of rice. We also pick up and ship bags of rice for you, 25 kg and 50 kg. If you are shipping to Togo or Cote d'Ivoire, add 20 dollars per item.
The 55 gallon barrel price to Ghana is 190 dollars. That price includes door pickup from Boston to Washington DC, ocean freight to Tema, customs clearance at Tema, Ghana import duties on personal effects, and door delivery in Accra and Tema. Delivery to other Ghana cities such as Kumasi and Takoradi is quoted separately before booking. If you are in Baltimore or Silver Spring, your pickup is covered by the same door pickup area.

Appliances, Furniture, Mattresses and Televisions
Maryland customers often ship furniture and appliances alongside their barrels. We ship sofas, folding tables, mattresses and televisions. A 3 seater sofa is 600 dollars and a 4 seater sofa is 750 dollars. A 4 ft round folding table is 70 dollars and a 6 ft rectangular folding table is 65 dollars. Mattress and television prices are listed by size in our instant estimate.
Used fridges, freezers and air conditioners are banned from import into Ghana. If you are shipping a fridge, freezer or air conditioner, it must be new. Tell us before pickup so we can check the item and document it correctly. For anything else regulatory, confirm with the agency or a licensed customs house agent.
Cars, SUVs and Pickups from Maryland
We ship cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and commercial trucks from Maryland to Ghana by RoRo or in a container, whichever suits the vehicle. That includes cars bought at auctions in Maryland. Vehicle shipments from the USA and Canada are quoted per job in writing. A car quote excludes inland transport and every service before the car reaches our warehouse, any GS 4510 inspection once it is reinstated, and Ghana duties and port charges.
Before you buy a car for Ghana, check the rules. Ghana's used vehicle pre shipment inspection and Certificate of Conformity, known as GS 4510, were due from October 1, 2026, but the Ghana Standards Authority suspended the inspection on October 5, 2026, with no new date announced. Reports on the used vehicle age limit conflict, 10 years versus 15 years, so confirm the age limit before you buy. Flood, fire, rebuilt and salvage vehicles are barred. Right hand drive vehicles are admitted only under a regulated conversion framework that is still being set up.

Heavy Equipment, Generators and Containers
We move heavy equipment and machinery by RoRo, flat rack, open top or breakbulk as the cargo requires. We also handle generators and full container (FCL) and shared container (LCL) shipments. Equipment and container shipments from the USA and Canada are quoted per job in writing. Tell us the dimensions, weight and whether the unit runs, and we will confirm the right method and a written price.
For commercial cargo, we do not accept cash. Card payments are welcome, and every invoice shows a card or PayPal price and a 3 percent lower non card price. For barrels and boxes, non card payment can be Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer, or cash to the driver at pickup. Deposits are by Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer or card, and we do not accept cash for deposits.

Business Desk and Shop and Ship for Maryland Businesses
If you own a shop or sell in Ghana, our Business Desk does the buying for you. Ghanaians call it bulk buying. We buy in bulk from Amazon, Walmart, Target, wholesale clubs, distributors, Alibaba and 1688, within each seller's purchase limits. We photo check every item, consolidate and pack, then ship to Ghana. Orders we buy for the customer ship by air every week. Dedicated full containers sail on the next weekly departure. Door Delivery and Last Mile Delivery in Ghana
Your shipment does not stop at the port. We collect from Tema, Takoradi, Kotoka cargo terminal or consolidator warehouses and deliver to the door anywhere in Ghana, including cargo shipped by other companies. We also do local pickup and delivery from Boston to Washington DC. Last mile delivery is quoted per delivery, so tell us the destination town or city and we will put it in writing before you book.

How Booking Works
Booking is simple, and you always get the price and date in writing before you pay.
- WhatsApp or call us with what you are shipping and your Maryland address.
- We send a written price and confirm your pickup date.
- You pay a 30 percent deposit to confirm the pickup. Deposits are by Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer or card. No cash for deposits.
- We pick up on your scheduled date.
- You pay the balance. For barrels and boxes, non card payment can be Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer, or cash to the driver at pickup. No cash for vehicles, heavy equipment, containers or commercial cargo. Card payments are welcome for those.

Do not treat the inspection as currently required. Reports on the used vehicle age limit conflict, 10 years versus 15 years, so confirm the age limit before buying. Flood, fire, rebuilt and salvage vehicles are barred. Right hand drive vehicles are admitted only under a regulated conversion framework still being set up. Ghana's 2026 VAT reform set a single effective VAT rate of 20 percent including NHIL and GETFund. Used fridges, freezers and air conditioners are banned. The PUBD is filed on arrival or within 48 hours. For anything else regulatory, confirm with the agency or a licensed customs house agent.
