Where We Pick Up in Pennsylvania
We collect from homes, shops, churches and community addresses. In Philadelphia we cover West and Southwest Philadelphia, Olney, Germantown and North Philadelphia. We also pick up in Upper Darby and Chester.

Pickup Schedule in Pennsylvania
Philadelphia, Chester and Upper Darby: any day, no minimum. You choose a day that works, and we confirm it in writing.
The rest of Pennsylvania: scheduled Saturday pickups, which we call Pickup Saturdays. The date is confirmed when you book, and there is a minimum of two barrels or boxes per pickup. Plan around the Pickup Saturday rather than the day you finish packing, because the truck only comes on the confirmed date.
For Christmas 2026, book and pay the 30 percent deposit by Wednesday, November 25, 2026 for Philadelphia, and by Saturday, November 21, 2026 for the rest of Pennsylvania. Barrels, Boxes, Totes, Suitcases and Bags of Rice
This is the work most Pennsylvania families know us for. A 55 gallon barrel to Ghana is $190, and that price includes door pickup from Boston to Washington DC, ocean freight to Tema, customs clearance at Tema, Ghana import duties on personal effects, and door delivery in Accra and Tema. Delivery to other Ghana cities such as Kumasi or Takoradi is quoted separately before booking.
We also ship 65 gallon barrels, 75 to 77 gallon jumbo barrels, boxes in many retail sizes, wardrobe boxes, Home Depot boxes, coolers, tote bags, tote boxes, suitcases and bags of rice. Barrel and box shipments can be paid in cash to the driver at pickup, or by Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer or card. Every invoice shows a card or PayPal price and a 3 percent lower non-card price. Deposits cannot be paid in cash.

Appliances, Furniture, Mattresses and Televisions

For fridges, freezers and air conditioners, only new units can be shipped. Used fridges, freezers and air conditioners are banned from entering Ghana. If you are unsure whether an item is allowed, ask us before you buy it or pack it.
Appliances and furniture are heavy and take space, so tell us the item list when you book. We will confirm what fits in your pickup and what needs its own arrangement.
Cars, SUVs and Pickups from Pennsylvania
We ship cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and commercial trucks from Pennsylvania to Ghana by RoRo or in a container. That includes cars bought at auctions in the state. USA vehicle shipments are quoted per job in writing, so the number you get reflects your exact vehicle, port and destination.
A car quote excludes inland transport and every service before the car reaches our warehouse, any GS 4510 inspection once it is reinstated, and Ghana duties and port charges. Please read that sentence twice if you are comparing quotes, because it explains most of the difference between one quote and another.
Before you buy any used vehicle for Ghana, check the rules. The Ghana Standards Authority suspended the GS 4510 pre-shipment inspection and Certificate of Conformity on October 5, 2026, with no new date announced, so the inspection is not currently required. Reports on the used vehicle age limit conflict, 10 years against 15 years, so confirm the age limit before you buy. Flood, fire, rebuilt and salvage vehicles are barred. Right hand drive vehicles are admitted only under a regulated conversion framework that is still being set up.

Heavy Equipment, Generators and Containers
We move heavy equipment and machinery by RoRo, flat rack, open top or breakbulk as the cargo requires. Generators, construction equipment and commercial cargo are quoted per job in writing. No cash is accepted for vehicles, heavy equipment, containers or commercial cargo, but card payments are welcome.
We handle full container (FCL) and shared container (LCL) shipments. If you have enough cargo for a full container, you get the whole box and your own schedule. If you have less, a shared container keeps your cost down and we confirm the consolidation schedule at booking.

Business Desk Bulk Buying and Shop and Ship
If you own a shop or you are stocking a business in Ghana, our Business Desk, which Ghanaians often call bulk buying, does the shopping for you. We buy in bulk from Amazon, Walmart, Target, wholesale clubs, distributors, Alibaba and 1688 within each seller's purchase limits, photo check every item, consolidate and pack, then ship to Ghana.
Orders we buy for you ship by air every week. Dedicated full containers sail on the next weekly departure, and shared containers go on our consolidation schedule, confirmed at booking. You can also have your own suppliers deliver to our warehouse, but only after the full quote is paid. One quote covers the whole job and is paid in full upfront. Door Delivery and Last Mile Delivery in Ghana
Getting your goods to Tema is only half the job. Our last mile service collects from Tema, Takoradi, Kotoka cargo terminal or consolidator warehouses and delivers to your door anywhere in Ghana, including cargo shipped by other companies. We also do local pickup and delivery from Boston to Washington DC. Last mile delivery is quoted per delivery.

Ghana Rules to Confirm Before You Buy or Pack
Ghana Shippers' Authority registration is required before ICUMS processing under Act 1122, enforced from August 2026. The PUBD is filed on arrival or within 48 hours. Ghana's 2026 VAT reform set a single effective VAT rate of 20 percent including NHIL and GETFund. Used fridges, freezers and air conditioners are banned, and flood, fire, rebuilt and salvage vehicles are barred.
For anything else regulatory, confirm with the agency or a licensed customs house agent. Rules change, and a five minute call can save you a container of trouble.

Before Your Pickup Saturday: A Checklist
- Confirm your pickup date in writing. Outside Philadelphia, that means your Pickup Saturday, with at least two barrels or boxes.
- Get a written price before you pack, so you know what is included and what is quoted separately.
- Pay the 30 percent deposit by Zelle, Cash App, bank transfer or card. No cash for deposits.
- Pack tightly, label every box with your name and a Ghana phone number, and keep a list of contents.
- Check the rules for anything restricted, including used fridges, freezers and air conditioners, and vehicles that are flood, fire, rebuilt or salvage.
- For vehicles, have your title documents ready at least 72 hours before export and run the free eligibility checker.
- For Christmas shipments, book and pay the deposit by November 25 in Philadelphia or November 21 in the rest of Pennsylvania.
- Keep your invoice handy. The balance is due on the invoice after pickup.
