Barrels, boxes, totes, suitcases and bags of rice
This is the core of what we do for Connecticut families. You pack a 55-gallon barrel, a 65-gallon barrel, a 75 to 77-gallon jumbo barrel, or any of our published box sizes, and we ship it to Ghana. The 55-gallon barrel to Ghana is $190. That price includes door pickup from Boston to Washington DC, ocean freight to Tema, customs clearance at Tema, Ghana import duties on personal effects, and door delivery in Accra and Tema. Togo and Cote d'Ivoire cost a little more per item.
We also ship totes, suitcases and bags of rice. A 25 kg bag of rice is $35 and a 50 kg bag is $65, and we pick up and ship them. Boxes range from a small U-Haul box at $55 to large wardrobe boxes at $300, with Home Depot sizes in between. Sofas are $600 for a 3-seater and $750 for a 4-seater, and folding tables are $70 for a 4 ft round and $65 for a 6 ft rectangular.

Appliances, furniture, mattresses and televisions
We ship appliances, furniture, mattresses and televisions from Connecticut to Ghana. For fridges, freezers and air conditioners, we ship new units only, because Ghana bans used fridges, freezers and air conditioners. Cars, SUVs and pickups from Connecticut
We ship cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and commercial trucks from Connecticut to Ghana by RoRo or container. That includes cars bought at auctions in the state. Every vehicle shipment is quoted per job in writing. Car quotes exclude inland transport and every service before the car reaches our warehouse, any GS 4510 inspection once it is reinstated, and Ghana duties and port charges.
Before you buy a car for Ghana, check its eligibility. Ghana bars flood, fire, rebuilt and salvage vehicles. Right-hand-drive vehicles are admitted only under a regulated conversion framework that is still being set up. Reports on the used-vehicle age limit conflict, with some saying 10 years and others 15, so confirm the age limit before you buy. The GS 4510 pre-shipment inspection and Certificate of Conformity were due from October 1, 2026, but the Ghana Standards Authority suspended the inspection on October 5, 2026, with no new date announced. Do not assume the inspection is currently required.

Heavy equipment, generators and containers
We ship heavy equipment and machinery by RoRo, flat rack, open top or breakbulk as the cargo requires. We also ship generators and full container (FCL) or shared container (LCL) shipments. Your barrel price includes door delivery in Accra and Tema. For other Ghana cities such as Kumasi and Takoradi, delivery is quoted separately before booking. We also offer last-mile delivery for cargo shipped by other companies: we collect from Tema, Takoradi, Kotoka cargo terminal or consolidator warehouses and deliver to the door anywhere in Ghana. How booking works
Booking is straightforward and there is no deposit.
- WhatsApp or call us with what you want to ship and your Connecticut address.
- We send a written price and confirm your pickup date, usually a Pickup Sunday.
- We send an invoice. Every invoice shows a card or PayPal price and a 3% lower non-card price.
- Pay in full before loading: online by card or PayPal, or by Cash App or cash to the driver at pickup for barrel and box shipments only. No cash for vehicles, heavy equipment, containers or commercial cargo; card payments are welcome for those.
