When Guldstreet picks up your barrel in New York, a sequence of logistics events begins that spans 28–35 days and crosses the Atlantic Ocean.
Day 1: Pickup at Your Door
Our driver arrives at your scheduled time. Your barrel is logged into our tracking system with a reference number. The packing list is collected and attached to your shipping documentation.
Days 2–5: Consolidation and Documentation
At our New York/New Jersey facility, your barrel is weighed and measured, assigned to an outbound container, documented with US export paperwork (EEI filing), and grouped with other barrels on the same route.
Days 5–8: Port of New York
The consolidated container trucks to the Port of New York and New Jersey. Export documentation is processed and the container is loaded onto the vessel.
Days 8–28: Ocean Voyage
The ocean voyage from New York to Tema Port, Ghana is approximately 18–22 days. Vessels typically route via the Canary Islands or West African ports.
Days 29–35: Ghana Customs and Last-Mile Delivery
After arrival, Ghana Customs clearance takes 2–5 days for standard personal effects (X-ray scanning, duty assessment, payment by recipient, release). After clearance, your barrel is delivered to your recipient's home. Guldstreet notifies you when delivery is completed.
