Quick Answers

Christmas Shipping FAQ

Will my barrel definitely arrive before Christmas?

Booking your pickup by the cutoff date for your city puts your cargo on our planned Christmas sailings, with an estimated arrival of December 20 to 24. Sailing and arrival dates are estimates set by the shipping lines, not guarantees. We do not accept Christmas bookings after the cutoff dates listed above.

Does my family in Ghana have to pay customs duties?

Personal effects, clothing, shoes, food, household items, are typically duty-free under Ghana Customs rules for personal use. Commercial quantities of goods (for resale) may attract duties. We will confirm this before you book. There are no surprise charges at the port.

Is door pickup really free?

Yes. Free pickup is included in the quoted rate for all completed, paid shipments: any day in New York City, New Jersey and Philadelphia, and on scheduled Saturdays in the DMV, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New England (minimum 2 barrels or boxes). No deposit is needed: pay in full online, or by Cash App or cash to our driver at pickup, before loading.

How do I know my barrel is on the ship?

We send WhatsApp updates at every stage: pickup confirmed, barrel received at our warehouse, loaded on the vessel, arrived at Tema Port, customs cleared, and out for delivery. You can also message us anytime for a status update.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash App ($guldstreet), PayPal (including credit and debit card), or cash to our driver for barrel and box balances at pickup. Full payment details are sent with your booking confirmation.

Can I send more than one barrel?

Yes. The price per barrel is the same regardless of quantity. Let us know how many you're sending when you WhatsApp us and we'll schedule one pickup for all of them.
